Melissa Bergmann is an associate attorney at Hayes Thomas, PLC. Melissa is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and graduated summa cum laude from Murray State University with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Legal Studies.

Melissa attended law school at Belmont University College of Law. During her time in law school, Melissa was on the Dean’s List and was one of twenty law students in Tennessee chosen for the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Diversity Leadership Institute. Melissa spent her years in law school working in the areas of real estate law, business law, and family law. She then began practicing family law at Hayes Thomas, PLC immediately upon passing the Bar Exam.

Melissa practices in areas of family law involving divorce, post-divorce, child custody, alimony, and child support modification, orders of protection, and contempt. Through this work, Melissa strives to provide the care and diligence needed to best serve clients during this difficult and stressful time in their lives.
